This Year was the first year that I have been to Essen, but it was such a fantastic show that I am definitely looking to go next year. Essen always gets a lot of magazine coverage here in the UK, so I was expecting it to be good, but even so was very impressed. Its a very large show - I would estimate larger than the NEC motor show although I may be wrong. It encompasses such a wide variety of interests that every one is likely to see something that appeals. Essen is part Modified Car show, part custom car show, part classic car show, part motorsport show, and part motor show. It has good attendance from all the major tuners and suppliers, quite a few british companies, and an increasing number of the big car manufacturers. UK needs a show like this. Its best described as Max Power live, meets Donny, meets Classic car show, meets Autosport show, meets NEC Motor show but all in the one place at the same time. I actually went to visit and deliver parts to a customer whom had our BMW MINI Majic on his stand, and whom may become an agent in the future. This car was very well received and if the amount of people taking photos is anything to go by will sell as well in Germany as it is in UK. If you get the opportunity to go to this show I personally suggest you take it.
