Majic

This original design was introduced in January 1997, following the launch of the Sportspack Arches. It represented our creation of the "Sportpack" derived bodykit concept as copied by a multitude of suppliers. The whole kit was modular, in that customers could select whichever elements they required, from just the arches, arches and sideskirts, or the entire kit.

This kit has been by far our most successful kit, and have currently sold well in excess of 7000 kits. It consists of the conventional 8-piece arrangement of: Front bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts, and four wide arches. The arches are based upon Rover Sportpack arches (modified and shortened), which were introduced, to cover 13’s when Rover eventually started fitting them. The sideskirts were designed to bridge the gap between the front and rear arches, and represent a combination of LAMM skirts and Escort Cosworth ones!

Our experience with the LAMM kit immediately told us that this was the way to fit Mini kits, and it is this method of fitting that we used for the Majic kit, with return flanges on the arches, and the bumpers and skirts sitting on the flanges, and bolting up into the arches. The Lamm style kits date back to the late 1980's meaning this was a tried and tested way of fitting the arches.

The front bumper returns to the Mk6 Escort since the bumper is based entirely upon the bumper fitted to the more expensive models - the vents have not even been changed, but look so perfect on the little mini. The rear bumper is based upon - you guessed it, an Escort one although this time the vent was modified, as the first version did not look quite right. This bumper has the facility for standard fog lights to be hidden behind the odd shaped cut-outs giving the impression of the new fashion for odd shaped, and expensive lights at almost no cost to the customer. If you have fog lights already then there really is no cost!!

This kit is fitted in almost exactly the same way as the Lamm, with wheel arch returns, bolted to the car, and the front and rear bumpers bolted to the arches. The front bumper has an additional mounting under the front grill, and the side skirts can be fitted to the floor due to large returns.

The kit is available in standard version (5.5 x 13 to 7 x 13 wheels), for Saloon, Clubman, Pick-up, Estate, and Van plus an extra wide version (round nose only) for very wide wheels (around 6 inches from standard metalwork).



	Staff member Kriss built the Gold car above over 3 years before he became a staff member and has made a stunning job - even preparing under the arches to the same standard as the outside. Remarkably had has yet to drive the car on the road, when these photos were taken. Blue car below was fitted with the kit at Gordonz bodyshop recently. Ideal opportunity to see how good the kit still fits after all these years. First one we have fitted in a while now - just as easy as ever. 	This Clubman has had its Majic kit fitted without bonding the kit on. We normally bond the kits on when we are doing them as it offers better waterproofing (and therefore rust proofing), looks better and is more forgiving of small gaps which can just be filled during the preparation process. This kit was fitted by a local customer Gavin, and he has done a very impressive job. Below you can see a blue roundnose with Majic kit. This car is one of the nicest Majic kitted cars we have ever seen, and was well worthy of its feature in Mini World. Fully de-seamed with the ridge removed from the bonnet all takes a great deal of time and effort.






	The Green car pictured above is fitted with optional front fog lights, and has had the rear fog light pockets filled over for a smoother look. It also has the optional front and rear stainless mesh fitted. The white car is standard. Both are fitted with 7 x 13" wheels and 175/50/13 tyres. It was a few years before the Majic bonnet was added to the range. At the end of the day its just a standard bonnet with a Ford Capri 3 litre bonnet bulge grafted on but it looks so right on the car, and compliments the kit perfectly. Also available for Clubman.

	This is our new Majic kitted pick-up, plus some extras. The kit has special skirts, and rear bumper, which enable this kit to be fitted to Pick-up, Van, and Estate. Same high quality, same easy fit. This car has some extras to compliment the kit - fully deseamed, M3 mirrors, mark 3 pillarless doors, special door handles, ducati fuel filler, twin taillights, pearlescent paintwork.

New Autofashion Clubman Front bumper for Majic kit

The new front bumper allows Majic kits to be fitted to Mini Clubman's without the previously required modification to the front panel. This now gives a choice of two bumpers to Clubman owners, whom can opt for the new style "Animal" front bumper or the traditional more rounded original bumper (modification to car required). Both are called Majic so please be clear when ordering - we automatically assume you want the new Clubman front if you don't tell us otherwise.

Bonnet left has the same power bulge that the roundnose bonnet has.
